Westworth Village, Texas (April 19th, 2026) - The SCAC championships kicked off this morning with the Warriors looking to continue the strong success of the Spring season. After the first round, the Warriors currently sit 7th of 9. 

Oliver Naumann continued his impressive performance of late, sitting T1st after the first round. Naumann kicked the day off with a birdie out of the gate and two more in the front nine to go -3. Naumann kept it going with a birdie on Hole 12 before bogeying 14. Naumann responded with a birdie on Hole 15 and was sitting at -4 until a par putt rolled out of the cup on 18, pushing Naumann to -3. This is Naumann's best start in his career in the conference tournament, where he will look to keep the momentum going tomorrow with a tee time of 9:04 AM on Hole 10. 

Tyler Morton had an impressive first round, currently T14th at +2. Morton was steady through the first three holes, until he bogeyed Hole 4 to put him +1. Morton would even things out with a birdie on Hole 8 to go into the back nine E. Morton would sink a birdie on Hole 11 before bogeying Hole 14, 16 and 18 to sit +2. Morton tees off tomorrow at 8:56 AM on Hole 10. 

Michael Young ended the day T33rd sitting at +6. Young started off slow on the front nine, shooting +6. Young would respond well on the back nine, adding two birdies to end the back nine E. Young tees off at 8:47 AM. 

Cole Jones also ended his day T33rd sitting at +6. Jones struggled in the first part of the front nine, going into the back nine at +5. Jones would have an impressive two hole performance, scoring Eagle on 12 and then adding a birdie on 13 to end the back nine +1. Jones will tee off at 8:39 AM. 

William Baker ended the his day 44th sitting at +13. Baker would start slow in the first round, going +9 through the front nine. Baker would do a good bit of damage control in the back nine to end it +4. Baker tees off at 8:30 AM.
