CONWAY - Hendrix routed the University of Dallas over their three-game set this weekend, with Hendrix claiming the series sweep thanks to two run-rule victories.
Game 1 (W, 8-0)
The Warriors claimed the series opener in run-rule fashion, dispatching of the Crusaders in just five innings in a game that lasted just over an hour.
Emma Salis (W, 3-11) tossed a complete game shutout, surrendering just three hits in 5.0 scoreless innings to go along with a strikeout.
Rylee Harris and
Emerson Naismith both recorded three RBIs, while
Kaycee Schoen went 2-for-2 with a walk.
Ella Boling led the Warriors with two runs scored while going 2-for-3 at the plate.
The game went scoreless until the fourth inning when Hendrix broke it open with a 7-spot, with all runs coming on two outs. After
Peyton Frady bunted
Tori Maldonado into scoring position, Boling doubled in Maldonado to break the deadlock. Naismith then smoked a two-RBI triple to right center to score Boling and
Emmaline Trosclair to make it 3-0. Naismith later scored on a Schoen infield single before Harris broke the game open with a three-run shot to left field.
Salis worked around a one-out walk in the visitor fifth to retire the side and turn it back over to the Warrior bats. With one out, Boling and Trosclair hit back-to-back singles to put two on for Naismith, who effectively walked it off with a single to left center field to bring in Boling and bring the run rule into effect.

Game 2 (W, 15-12)
Hendrix got on the board first in the second half of Thursday's doubleheader with a Schoen double to drive in
Bell Jaramillo.
Dallas scored their first runs of the series in the second inning, with three of their six second-inning runs coming on bases-loaded walks. The Warriors cut the lead to one in the home second with three runs coming on defensive lapses before Schoen singled in Naismith to make it 6-5. The Crusaders added back onto their lead with five runs in the third. The Warriors answered back with four runs in the home half of the inning, highlighted by two-RBI double from Naismith.
The Crusaders scored their final run of the evening on a lead-off solo shot in the fourth to take a 12-9 lead. The Warriors went scoreless in the home fourth, but Gi Robinson (W, 4-1) worked around two singles in the visitor fifth to bring Hendrix back up to the plate. Hendrix loaded the bases for
Rylee Harris, who smoked a three-RBI double to right center to tie the game. With two in scoring position for
Peyton Frady and two outs, the senior shortstop smoked a single through the left side to bring in the go-ahead run, and heads-up base-running from Frady distracted the Crusaders' defense enough to allow
Austynn Caudle to score on the same play and make it 14-12.
Robinson put the Crusaders down in order in the visitor sixth, and Schoen doubled in Jaramillo for the second time to make 15-12 heading into the seventh. Dallas brought the tying run to the plate in the final inning, but Robison was able to induce a fly-out to record the final out and secure the series for Hendrix.
It was another perfect game for Schoen, who went 4-for-4 at the plate with two extra-base hits and four RBIs. Frady also had a big game, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
Robinson earned the win-in-relief in the circle, tossing 4.2 IP of one-run ball and recording a pair of strikeouts.

Rylee Harris, and
Kaycee Schoen all recorded three hits, with Cotropia going 3-for-3 in her first start of the series and driving in a season-high five runs. Harris and
Emmaline Trosclair each recorded three RBIs, with Trosclair's all coming on a two-out triple in the second to make it 10-0 Hendrix.
In the circle,
