Anthony Biondo

Anthony Biondo enters his fifth season as the Hendrix head men's lacrosse coach in 2021 and eighth season overall with the program after spending three seasons (2014-16) as an assistant.

In 2020, Hendrix played seven games before its season was cut short due to COVID-19. One player earned two SAA Offensive Player of the Week awards.

In 2019, the Warriors led the nation in ground balls for the first half of the season; a season that saw an impressive 29-1 victory against Centenary (La.) and Johnson and Wales (Colo.). Biondo coached one All-SAA first team defender.

In his first year as head coach, the Warriors set a school record with eight wins in 2017. He coached four All-Southern Athletic Association selections. Hendrix led the SAA in ground balls.

In Biondo's first year as an assistant, the Warriors set new program records in wins, ground balls and goals against average. He coached one defensive player of the week and a second team All-Southern Athletic Association defenseman.

In 2015, Biondo's defense led the nation in caused turnovers per game and ranked 32nd in ground balls per game.

Biondo has coached five All-SAA selections in four seasons.

Biondo came to Hendrix after spending the 2013 season as an assistant at Hampden-Sydney (Va.). While with the Tigers, he coached goalkeepers and face-offs under legendary head coach Ray Rostan.

Biondo spent the 2011 season as Lake Nona (Fla.) High School head boys lacrosse coach.

Biondo served as a Freedom (Fla.) High School assistant boys lacrosse coach in 2010. 

Biondo was a student assistant for NCAA Division II Saint Leo (Fla.) in 2009.

Biondo has spent time working with development programs in Florida, including Orlando All-Star Lacrosse, the Florida Fighting Possums and Team Florida Lacrosse.

Biondo played defender for four seasons (2006-09) at Saint Leo and was voted a captain during his junior and senior seasons.

Off the field, Biondo was named to the President's Honor Roll as a senior.

Biondo earned a Bachelor of Arts in education from Saint Leo in 2009. A native of North Port, N.Y., he attended graduated from Freedom High School. Biondo and his wife, Teri, have one son, Lincoln.
