Jaclyn Herrera

Former Warrior standout Jaclyn Herrera enters her third season after joining the Hendrix softball staff in the fall of 2012.

Herrera serves as the pitching coach for the Warriors. In two years with Hendrix, Herrera has coached an All-Southern Athletic Association First Team selection and three SAA Pitcher of the Week honorees.

Under head coach Amy Weaver, Herrera was a four-year letterwinner as a first baseman and pitcher for the Warriors. The Mt. Vernon, Texas native was an All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team selection in 2009 and an honorable mention each of the other three seasons. Herrera was also named to the 2010 SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team and was a two-time Commissioner's Honor Roll selection. She also earned 2011 NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete recognition.

A career .352 hitter, Herrera racked up 167 hits, 92 runs, 43 doubles, 16 home runs and 121 runs batted in. She holds the Hendrix career record in doubles and total bases and ranks in the top five in average, slugging percentage, games played, runs, hits, home runs, RBI, walks and sacrifice flies.

In the circle, Herrera won 20 games, ranking fourth in program history, and struck out 219, the second most for the Warriors.

Herrera graduated from Hendrix in 2011 with a degree in Kinesiology.
