Hendrix College Athletics

Bri Cone was hired in September 2013 to be the Hendrix College men's and women's swimming & diving assistant coach and the Bob Courtway Pool Coordinator.

The 2016-17 Warriors broke nine school records on the men's side and he coached an All-Southern Athletic Association Second Team selection.

In 2015-16, the Warriors broke one school record and continued the program's success in the classroom, earning the Scholar All-American Team Awards from the CSCAA.

In her first season with the Warriors, Cone coached three all-conference selections and broke two school records. In her second season, Hendrix broke three school records. Both teams made significant improvements at the Southern Athletic Association Championships from the regular season. The men improved their times by 6.5 percent and the women improved by 4.7 percent. Both marks were the best in the league.

Cone, from Joliet, Ill., swam competitively for 16 years and was a four-year letterwinner for Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis. She served as team captain during her senior year.

From 2011-13, Cone worked as a wilderness guide at Expeditions Unlimited, a Christian youth wilderness camp, in Baraboo, Wis.. She built an Outdoor Education program which taught outdoors skills such as rock climbing, canoeing, camping and team building to schools.

Cone graduate from Carthage in 2011 with a B.A. in Biology with an emphasis on wildlife research.
