Wes Sullivan was named head coach of the Hendrix Warriors women's basketball program in May 2024.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS (HENDRIX)
2024-25: 
Sullivan wasted no time putting his stamp on the women's basketball program, leading the team to a 9-17 finish in his first season, which was the team's best record since 2018-19. Hendrix led the conference in Team 3-Point Field Goal Percentage (33.4%) and finished second in 3-Point Field Goals Made with 158 (6.1 per game). Under Sullivan's tutelage, sophomore Riley Brady was named First Team All-SAA and finished fifth in NCAA Division III in rebounds per game.

2025-26: The 2025-26 season was one for the record books as the Warriors won their most games in a season since 2017-18 with 17 wins. Sullivan’s squad also won their most conference games in a season since 2015-16, winning 11. Hendrix also clinched a share of the SCAC Divisional Regular Season championship, as well as making the first conference championship game since 2016-17. The Warriors were Top 5 in scoring offense and defense in the SCAC and had one of the best rebounding teams in the SCAC. The Warriors lead the conference in Offensive Rebounds, Offensive Rebound PCT, Rebounding Margin and was 4th in the conference in Defensive Rebounds. Sullivan’s squad also boasted SCAC Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, 4 All-SCAC selections (1 first team), one All-Freshman Team selection, two all-tournament selections and 6 SCAC Players of the Week.

 
BEFORE HENDRIX

Sullivan arrives at Hendrix after spending the 2021-22 season at Arkansas Baptist College as the head men's basketball coach. Sullivan was tasked with helping aid the Buffaloes transition from the NJCAA to the NAIA. 

Prior to Arkansas Baptist, Sullivan was the head men's coach at cross-town rival Central Baptist College from 2013-17. Sullivan took over a struggling Mustang squad one week before the school year started and took the school to a then program record 23 wins in his final season, including a NCCAA Central Regional Championship and a #10 national ranking. Sullivan coached three All-Conference selections as well as an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention. Sullivan is 4th all-time in program wins.

Prior to Central Baptist, Sullivan spent one season as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Hendrix College. In his lone season with the Warriors, Sullivan helped coach the Southern Athletic Association Newcomer of the Year candidate Jamie Tate as well as an All-SAA First Team selection in Christina Byler and an honorable mention.

From 2008-12, Sullivan served as the Director of Coaching for Team Arkansas Elite girls basketball program. Under his direction, Arkansas Elite captured 14 AAU State Championships, appeared in seven national AAU Final Fours and won one AAU National Championship.

Sullivan was an assistant baseball coach for the University of Central Arkansas in Conway for three seasons in the late 1990s before leaving the profession. He played baseball for one year at the University of Arkansas Little Rock, then transferred to UCA where he was an All-Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player in 1993.

A native of Little Rock, Sullivan graduated from J.A. Fair High School in 1989 and lettered in four sports.

Sullivan currently resides in North Little Rock, Ark. with his wife Jennifer and  has three daughters - Julia, Riley and Clara. Clara is a member of the Hendrix women's soccer program.
