Freshman middle blocker Jen Karnes made her collegiate debut by leading the team with a .520 hitting percentage and 1.27 blocks per set, while the Warriors went 4-0 at the Hendrix Labor Day Invitational. Karnes, from Houston, Texas, connected on 14 total blocks and had 31 kills, averaging 2.82 per set. She had two blocks against Philander Smith and two blocks with 11 kills, three digs and hit .611 against LeTourneau on Friday. On Saturday, Karnes had a block and eight kills while hitting .889 vs. Centenary and ended the weekend with nine blocks and eight kills against Lyon.
