ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The Hendrix College field hockey team lost to NCAA Division II member Lindenwood University 3-0 on the road on Wednesday night. The host Lady Lions (5-4) outshot the Warriors (6-5) 20-3 and 9-2 in shots on goal.

Lynsey Porter put Lindenwood on the board on a penalty corner pass from Kristi O'Connor in the 19th minute. O'Connor scored her ninth goal of the season in the 38th minute on a penalty stroke, putting the Lady Lions up 2-0. Porter assisted an Emily Scanlon on a corner in the 68th minute for the final goal of the game.

Seniors Maggie DesPain and Kelly Rappe' took one shot on goal each for Hendrix.

Warrior sophomore goalkeeper Betsy Kelly recorded six saves, while Victoria Gil had two for the Lady Lions.

Hendrix will take on another Division II opponent on Thursday when they face Limestone College at 5 p.m. in St. Charles.
