JACKSON, Miss. – The Hendrix College volleyball team suffered a 25-19, 25-16, 25-27, 25-15 defeat to Millsaps College at the Hangar Dome on Friday night. With the loss, the Warriors fall to 8-12 overall and 3-5 in Southern Athletic Association play, while the Majors improve to 12-4 and 6-2.

Millsaps hit .191 with 50 kills, eight aces, 86 digs and 16 blocks, while Hendrix hit .006 with 33 kills, five aces, 79 digs and six blocks.

Junior Warrior setter Zoe Calhoun recorded her second double of the season with 25 assists and 11 digs. Freshman libero Jill Sikes led the defense with 22 digs to go with four aces, while Katie Burchfield added 16 digs and Ella Concavage-Nasar had 15. Senior outside hitter Kristen Finch had eight kills, while senior middle blocker Melissa Clement had seven and sophomore Carson Hunter recorded six.

The Majors were led by Kasey Laird's 18 kills and nine blocks to go with 17 digs. Raven Scott registered eight kills, 17 assists and 13 digs and Caroline McKey had 18 digs.

Hendrix will play at conference rival Birmingham-Southern College on Saturday at 4 p.m.
