CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's basketball team suffered a 54-41 loss to cross-town foe Central Baptist College at A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse on Tuesday night.
The Warriors (0-14) turned the ball over 20 times, leading to a 28-14 lead at halftime for the host Lady Mustangs (7-4). CBC went on to lead by as many as 19 in the second half, scoring a total of 20 points off of 27 Hendrix turnovers during the game.
The Warriors shot 26 percent (15-of-58) from the field, went 5-of-21 from three-point range and 6-of-16 from the free throw line. The Lady Mustangs shot 28 percent (19-of-67), 3-of-14 from outside and 13-of-20 at the free throw line. CBC had a 53-48 rebound advantage as well as an 18-13 edge in steals.

Katie Coughran led Hendrix with a career-high 11 points to go with four rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Sophomore forward

Katy Gallien each grabbed person-best 12 reounds. Freshman guard
Caitlin Kriesel-Bigler hit a trio of three-pointers for nine points and recorded three steals.
Junior center
Jamie Tate, scored six points and had two steals to go with with nine rebounds in 15 minutes in the second half. Tate now has 755 career rebounds, breaking the old Hendrix record of 753 held by Christina Byler (2007-11).
Alyssa Drake led the Lady Mustangs with 16 points, three assists and eight steals. Kayla Gardner had nine points and seven rebounds and Bre'Anna Hobbs scored five points and pulled down nine boards. Chelsea Gregory had 10 points off the bench.
Hendrxi will return to Southern Athletic Association play on Saturday when they host Rhodes College at 2 p.m.
