CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College volleyball team swept Southern Athletic Association rival Millsaps College in straight sets 25-17, 25-22, 27-25 at Grove Gymnasium on Friday night.
The host Warriors (12-9, 3-5) cruised to a first set victory, connecting on 16 kills and hitting .314 while the Majors (11-10, 4-4) only managed seven kills and hit -.026. In the second set, Hendrix trailed 21-19, but ended the frame on 6-2 run while hitting .344 for the set.
Millsaps led 17-12 in the final game before Hendrix went on 7-0 run, led by three kills from senior outside hitter

Carson Hunter helped the Warriors outscore the opposing team 5-2 over the final stretch.
For the match, Hendrix hit .305 with 48 kills, three aces, 62 digs and nine blocks. Millsaps hit .118 with 36 kills, six aces, 53 digs and four blocks.
Burchfield recorded season-bests with 19 kills and 13 digs while hitting .364 for the Warriors. Freshman right side

Felicia Beeman led the defense with 16 digs, tying her career-high, freshman

Allison Gaia had 22 assists and a season-best 11 digs. Senior setter
Zoe Calhoun recorded 21 assists, making her the second setter in school history to go over 3,000 career assists with a total of 3,016.
Lexus Andres had eight kills and 11 digs and Courtney Huie added eight kills to lead Millsaps. Caroline McKey led the defense with 14 digs.
Hendrix will host Birmingham-Southern College in conference play on Sunday at 1 p.m.
