DANVILLE, Ky. - The Hendrix College field hockey team lost 5-0 on the road to Centre College in Southern Athletic Association play on Saturday afternoon.

The host Colonels (9-1, 5-0), who received votes in this week's NFHCA Top 20 poll, took 49 shots, 28 of which were on goal, to the Warriors' (0-7, 0-5) one.

Nicole Deherde scored twice and Alexis Hebert and Chelsea Klein each had a goal and an assist for Centre.

Freshman keeper Gabryele Pochron, the nation's leader in saves, came up with 23, the fourth most in school history for Hendrix. Sophomore forward Morgan Fires took the Warriors' only shot.

Hendrix will travel to Lexington, Ky. for an SAA match against Transylvania University on Sunday.
