DANVILLE, Ky. - The Hendrix College volleyball lost in straight sets to Centre College on the road Sunday afternoon. The host Colonels (13-2, 6-1) won the Southern Athletic Association match 25-21, 25-18, 25-15 over the Warriors (11-9, 2-5).

Centre hit .287 with 42 kills, six aces, 46 digs and nine blocks, while Hendrix hit .121 with 30 kills, one ace, 40 digs and three blocks.

Senior outside hitter Katie Burchfield led the Warriors on offense by hitting .407 with 13 kills. Freshmen Samantha Stockdale, Jen Karnes and Natalie Masten had five kills each. Freshman Katie Beard and sophomore Felicia Beeman recorded 10 digs a piece and senior setter Zoe Calhoun recorded 15 assists.

Suzanne Asbury led the Colonels with 14 kills and six blocks. Cahterine Janszen had nine kills and 12 digs and Paige Poggemeier added 12 digs.

Hendrix will host Millsaps College in a conference matchup on Saturday at 6 p.m.
