ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Hendrix College men's basketball team lost to #11 Washington University of St. Louis 91-64 at the Mabee Center on Sunday.
The Warriors (1-1) shot 41 percent (20-of-49), but were 7-of-21 from outside and just 17-of-32 from the free throw line. The Bears (2-0) shot 51 percent (34-of-67), were 7-of-18 from three-point range and 16-of-20 at the line. Wash U. also held a 48-25 rebound advantage, including 18-8 in offensive opportunities, leading to 21 second chance points for the Bears.

Colton Primm gave the Orange & Black and 7-6 lead at the 17:55 mark of the first half. The Bears went on a 32-9 run to go up 38-16 with 6:16 to play in the first. Hendrix answered with a 20-5 rally to end the first half trailing by seven, 43-36.
Wash. U. took control of the game by starting the second period with a 28-3 run. The Bears shot 62 percent (18-of-29) in the second half, while the Warriors shot just 30 percent (7-of-23).

Ala Aboona made four three-pointers en route to 22 points and five assists for the Bears. Pre-season All-American Chris Klimek scored 14 points and pulled down nine boards and Matt Palucki recorded 12 points and 12 rebounds. Nick Burt had 10 points and David Fatoki dished out seven assists off the bench.
Hendrix will travel to Longview, Texas on Friday to face LeTourneau University.
