CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's basketball team lost to the University of the Ozarks 86-83 in double overtime at Mabee Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
After trailing 40-29 at halftime, the Warriors (3-2) shot 65 percent (15-of-23) from the field and outscored the Eagles (2-1) 42-31 in the second half, forcing the extra period. Both teams scored nine in the first overtime, but Ozarks managed a 6-3 advantage in the final period. Freshman
Travis Garrett's three-point attempt at the buzzer rimmed out to give the Eagles the victory.
For the game, Hendrix shot 50 percent (29-of-58) from the field, 4-of-15 from three-point range and 21-of-39 at the free throw line. Ozarks shot 46 percent (29-of-63), 4-of-19 from outside and 24-of-42 at the stripe. Hendrix held a 47-34 rebound advantage. The Eagles' press resulted in 15 steals and 20 total turnovers for the Warriors.
Sophomore guard
Drew Nikolovski led the Warriors with a career-high 19 points, going 4-of-5 from three-point territory. He also had seven rebounds, four assists, a block and a steal. Sophomore guard

Alec Conard had 11 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Junior forward

Ricky Allen led Ozarks with 34 points and five assists. Josh Ferrell scored 15 points and had four steals and Andrew Cummings chipped in 12 points. Ted Beard IV scored eight points and had eight rebounds off the bench.
Hendrix will take on Rust College in Memphis, Tenn. on Saturday.
