MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Hendrix College men's basketball team ended the Rhodes College Thanksgiving Classic with a 75-55 loss to Schreiner University on Sunday afternoon.
The Mountaineers (2-5) led by 14 with 5:35 left in the first half, but the Warriors (4-3) ended the period on a 18-7 run to make the game 35-32 at the break. After shooting 56 percent (18-of-46) in the first half, Hendrix went cold in the second, making just 22 percent (5-of-23) of their shots from the field. Meanwhile, Schreiner shot 54 percent (14-of-26) in the second period and led by as many as 24.
For the game, the Warriors shot 39 percent (18-of-46) from the field, 4-of-14 from three-point range and 15-of-26 at the line. The Mountaineers shot 53 percent (27-of-51) overall, 8-of-13 from outside and 13-of-17 at the stripe. SU hled a 29-28 rebound edge.

John Ogle scored seven with five rebounds. Freshman guard
Travis Garrett hit a pair of three-pointers for six points. Starting guard
Drew Nikolovski scored six points and led the team with seven boards. Freshman forward
Gearen Littlefield scored five points off the bench as well.
AJ Myres led SU with 18 points and had three assists and six rebounds. Grant Clark scored 13 points and Stevan Guerrero recorded eight points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Hendrix will open Southern Athletic Association play on Wednesday when they host Rhodes College at 8 p.m.
