SHERMAN, Texas - The Hendrix College men's basketball team suffered an 81-61 loss to Austin College at Hughey Gym on Thursday night.

The visiting Warriors (5-5) shot just 27 perecent from the field (17-of-63), 5-of-14 from three-point range and 22-of-34 at the free throw line. The 'Roos (3-3) shot 46 percent (30-of-65) overall, 10-of-23 from outside and 11-14 at the line. Austin had a 46-43 edge in rebounds.

Hendrix' bench produced 45 points, with sophomore guard Jordan Barrett coming in for a career-best 19 points and three steals. Sophomore forward Will Roland recorded 12 points, five rebounds and two steals off the bench and sophomore guard Alec Conard chipped in 10 points. Senior forward Colton Primm scored seven points and grabbed a season-best nine rebounds. Sophomore guard Drew Nikolovski had a career-high eight boards.

Ransom Okpala led the 'Ross with 21 points, 11 rebounds, four assist sand five steals. Jordan Hancock scored 14 points to go with four steals and Jeremy Swisher added 12 points. Alvin Michael came up with eight blocked shots.

Hendrix will return to action on Dec. 31 when they host Centenary College of Louisiana at 4 p.m.
