CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College field hockey team lost to 5-2 to Transylvania University in Southern Athletic Association action at Warrior Field on Sunday afternoon.
The visiting Pioneers (3-2, 1-1 SAA) outshot the Warriors (0-4, 0-2 SAA) 27-6 overall and 21-3 on goal. TU also had a 15-2 advantage in penalty corners.
The Pioneers scored first when Sara Clark found the back of the cage on an assist from Kayla Thurlow in the 12th minute. Hendrix tied it up when senior defender

Amibeth Marks for a goal in the 28th minute. Faye Katz scored just before halftime to put Transy up 2-1.
The Pioneers added goals in the 41st and 53rd minutes to go up 4-1. Marks scored again for the Warriors on an assist from junior midfielder Lotte Kraaijenbirnk in the 60th minute. Macaulay Schifferdecker added a final goal for UT in the 68th minute.
Marks took two of the Warriors shot on goal and junior forward
Erika Jasso recorded the other one.

Gabryele Pochron registered 14 saves for Hendrix and senior
Jennifer Koller had two defensive saves. Koller, from Woodbury, Conn., already has six defensive saves this season, tying the Hendrix season record set by senior
Elizabeth Lancaster last year. Koller also holds the program's career record with 15.
Hendrix will return to action on Saturday when they host conference foe Rhodes College.
