CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College field hockey team lost to Rhodes College 9-1 in Southern Athletic Association action at Warrior Field on Saturday afternoon.
The visiting Lynx (2-5, 2-1) outshot the Warriors (0-5, 0-3) 43-6 overall and 35-4 in shots on goal.
Mackenzie Bsuby scored three goals in the first 27 minutes to put Rhodes up 3-0. Christina DiFelice added another goal in the 30th minute to make the game 4-0 at half. The Lynx added five more goals in the first 12:03 of the second half.

Freshman
Gabryele Pochron, the national leader in saves, stopped 24 shots the second most in school history. Senior defender
Jennifer Koller added two defensive saves, improving her season total eight, breaking the old program record of six.
Junior forward
Erika Jasso took two shots on goal for the Warriors and Fires and senior defender
Lindsay Chott each took one.
Besides Busby's three goals, Mary Rose Hazel and Evy Royther each had a goal and two assists for Rhodes. Erin Bailey had two saves in the second half and Kelly Whelan had one.
Hendrix will be off until next Sunday when they travel to Sewanee - The University of the South for a conference match.
