CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College volleyball team swept Oglethorpe University 25-12, 25-16, 25-18 in Southern Athletic Association action at Grove Gymnasium Sunday.

The Warriors (11-7, 2-3 SAA) hit .354, the second-highest mark of the season, while connecting on 40 kills, 11 aces, 43 digs and five blocks. Hendrix set the tone early by hitting .650 on 14 kills and just one error in opening set.

The Stormy Petrels (4-7, 0-5 SAA) hit .080 with 21 kills, two aces, 25 digs and four blocks.

Senior outside hitter Katie Burchfield tied her career-high by hitting .500 with 12 kills and seven digs. Freshman outside MC Rogers added 10 kills while hitting .444. Freshman right side hitter Natalie Masten added six kills and freshman Holyn Duyck had four kills, 20 assists and four aces. Junior libero Ella Concavage-Nasar came up with seven digs.

Erin Shelton led OU with six kills and five digs.

Hendrix will go on the road to SAA opponent Sewanee - The University of the South on Saturday.
