MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Hendrix College women's basketball team suffered an 88-53 loss to #24 Rhodes College in Southern Athletic Association play at Mallory-Hyde Gymnasium on Saturday. The visiting Warriors (7-8, 1-3) committed a season-high 32 turnovers leading to 37 points for the Lynx (12-2, 4-0).
The game was tied 17-17 with 9:21 left in the first half, but Rhodes outscored Hendrix 20-9 the rest of the period to take a 37-26 into the break. The Lynx opened the second half on a 15-2 run to take control of the contest.
For the game, the Warriors shot 41.7 percent (20-of-48) from the field, 4-of-10 from three-point range and 9-of-11 at the free throw line. The Lynx shot 47 percent (32-of-68) overall, 6-of-19 from outside and 18-of-26 at the stripe. Hendrix held a 40-34 rebounding edge.

Lauren Avant paced the Lynx with 32 points and had four steals. Symone Daniles added 18 points, 10 boards, three blocks and four steals and Dy"nell Todman scored 10 points. Sarah Johnson recorded six points, six assists and six steals.
Hendrix will be back in action on Friday for a conference showdown at Birmingham-Southern College.
