Box Score CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College field hockey team suffered a 7-0 loss to #20 DePauw University at Warrior Field on Saturday afternoon in game three of the Hendrix Invitational.
The nationally-ranked Tigers (1-0) took 32 shots, with 23 on goal. Grace Fisher scored two first half goals to give DePauw a 2-0 lead at the break. Paige Berliner, Kate Jovanovic and Maggie Campbell added second half scores and Reilly Bruce had two.
The Warriors (0-1) managed a shot on goal from senior defender
Lauren Shklanko and a shot from senior forward
Morgan Fires. Sophomore keeper
Gabryele Pochron recorded 14 saves for Hendrix. Freshman
Madi Reese had two defensive saves.
DePauw held a 20-5 advantage on penalty corner opportunities.
Hendrix will return to the field Sunday morning at 10 a.m. to play the second half against Bridgewater. The Eagles led the game 2-0 when the game was postponed at halftime due to lightning on Friday night.
