Box Score Box ScoreRICHARDSON, Texas - After falling behind two sets to one, the Hendrix College volleyball team came back to defeat Hardin-Simmons University 25-23, 17-25, 19-25, 25-15, 15-12 to close out the UT Dallas Labor Day Tournament on Saturday morning.
The Warriors (2-1) outhit the Cowgirls (1-2), who were receiving votes in the AVCA Preseason Top 25 Poll, .227 to .224 and had a 65-51 kills advantage. Hendrix also had five aces, 71 digs and seven blocks, while HSU had five aces, 64 digs and nine blocks.
Hendrix ended the match by hitting .579 with 12 kills in the final set.

Corrie Reeder led the Cowgirls with 13 kills and Hannah Hornsby connected on 11. Molli Owen assisted 42 points. Morgan Watts had nine kills and seven blocks and Lauren Wish recorded 19 digs.
Hendrix will play at home on Tuesday when they host Central Baptist College with a pair of matches beginning at 5 p.m.
