JACKSON, Miss. - The Hendrix College volleyball team overcame a 2-0 deficit in sets to defeat Millsaps College at the Hangar Dome Sunday afternoon.
The Warriors topped the Majors 22-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-23, 15-13 to move to 15-6 and remain perfect with a 9-0 record in Southern Athletic Association play. Millsaps falls to 10-10 overall and 4-5 in conference.
Hendrix struggled in the first two sets, hitting .000 and .055, respectively, and making 20 attack errors combined. They rebounded to hit .303 while Millsaps hit -.026 to win set three by six points.
The Majors led 20-17 in set four, but the Orange & Black fought back with an 8-3 rally to force the deciding frame. Hendrix led 8-4 in the fifth, but Millsaps won the next six points to take a 10-8 advantage. The teams were tied at 12-12, when back-to-back Major errors gave Hendrix match point. The Warriors finally pulled out the match on a kill by junior right side
Natalie Masten.
For the match, Hendrix hit .097 with 54 kills, two aces, 102 digs and 12 blocks. Millsaps hit .088 with 54 kills, six aces, 116 digs and seven blocks.
Hendrix Notes- Masten finished with her best hitting percentage of the year at .500 with seven kills and four blocks.

Lauren Petrisin led the Warriors with 19 kills.
- Sophomore middle blocker
Sara Dyslin connected on 14 kills, seven blocks and nine digs.
- Freshman
Brianna Kelly added nine kills, two aces and a season-high 13 digs.
- Junior setter
Allison Gaia recorded her seventh double-double of the year with a season-high 41 assists and 13 digs.
- Senior libero
Felicia Beeman came up with 26 digs, her ninth 20 or more performance of 2015.
- Middle blockers
Samantha Stockdale and
Victoria Amadi each had four blocks.
Millsaps Notes- Lexus Andrews had 19 kills, 19 digs and five blocks.
- Olivia Kleyer added 14 kills.
- Ashley Zamjahn led all players with 31 digs. Presley Stoltzfus had 20.
- Mary Wilson recorded 22 assists and eight digs. Shelby Marsh had 21 assists and 12 digs.
