GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Hendrix College volleyball team's amazing season came to an end in the NCAA Division III Championship Semifinals at the hands of #6 Wittenberg University 25-14, 16-25, 25-21, 25-13 Friday evening at Van Noord Arena.
The Warriors end the season at 29-9, the second most wins in program history, under AVCA Coach of the Year
Ryan Meek.
In the first set, the Tigers (29-2) hit .275 with 14 kills, while the Warriors hit .119 on 10 kills. Hendrix took advantage of the WU struggling offense in the second set. The Tigers managed only four kills and hit .051, while the Warriors managed 12 kills.
Wittenberg led the entire third set, including a 20-13 lead. Hendrix pressed, with a 8-4 run, but the Tigers secured the frame on a Camila Quinones kill. WU controlled the final game by jumping out to a 10-1 lead and moved on to win the match 25-13.
For the match, Hendrix hit .093 with 41 kills, nine aces, 73 digs and eight blocks. Wittenberg hit .143 on 43 kills, eight aces, 80 digs and nine blocks.
The match saw the end of the careers of three Warrior seniors -
Felicia Beeman,
Jill Sikes and
Catey May.
The run to the NCAA Division III Semifinals is the best for any Warrior program in school history.
Hendrix Notes- The Warriors' had their 10-match winning streak broken.

Lauren Petrisin led the offense with 10 kills.
- Junior outside hitter
MC Rogers had nine kills and 20 digs, her fourth straight match with 20 or more digs. She also tied her career-high with four aces.
- Sophomore outside
Bradi Ryan added nine kills and three digs.
- Junior middle blocker
Samantha Stockdale came up with five kills and three blocks.
- Junior right side
Natalie Masten also recorded five kills.

Allison Gaia, a junior setter, had 14 assists and nine digs. Junior
Holyn Duyck recorded 18 assists and nine digs.
- Senior libero
Felicia Beeman came up with 16 digs.
- Sophomore middle blocker
Sara Dyslin had eight digs and four blocks, including two solo.
- Wittenberg was the seventh ranked team the Warriors faced this season and the fourth in the top 10.
Wittenberg Notes- The Tigers will move on the national championship against the winner of Cal Lutheran and Carthage.
- Melissa Emming recorded nine kills and Kara Seidenstricker had nine kills, three aces and 23 digs.
- Quinones added eight digs and four blocks.
- Megan Flaherty recorded 18 assists and eight digs.
- Libero Kristina Fultz came up with 26 digs.
