Warriors Dominate Cursaders 27-3

IRVING, Texas - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team rolled to a 27-3 victory at the University of Dallas on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore attacker Carson Boone broke the school record with eight goals in the game. He also had three assists, giving him 11 points which ties teammate Robbie Borrello's record set at Centenary earlier this season.

The Warriors (2-1) took 80 shots, the second most in program history. The 27 goals was second to the 29 scored at Centenary. The Orange & Black also tallied 10 assist for 37 points, the third most for the program.

The Warriors led the Crusaders (1-1) 7-0 after the first quarter and 18-1 at halftime. Hendrix won the faceoff battle 19-13.

Hendrix Notes
- Nine different players scored for the Warriors, and five had at least a hat trick.
- Borrello came up with five goals and two assists.
- Junior midfielder Travis Rabun and sophomore midfielder Cody Eckes each had three goals and an assist.
- Junior Alex Heather also scored three goals and picked up four ground balls.
- Sophomore TK Shaffer netted two goals, while Graham Marcus and Patrick Munn both scored one.
- Munn and Shaffer each had career-highs with six ground balls.
- Junior Patrick Rogers recorded a goal and an assist. Sophomore Alex Ortenstone had two assists and eight ground balls.
- Christian Wheeler and Joe Takacs split time in goal, with each picking up three saves.
- Hendrix won the ground ball battle 54-32.

Dallas Notes
- Two of the three Crusaders' goals were man-up.
- Alex Ziolkowski had two goals and Jacob Tom scored the other.
- Keeper Ryan Murphy came up with 29 saves.

- The Warriors will host Huntingdon College at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium next Saturday at 3 p.m.
