CONWAY, Ark. - Freshman midfielder
Shelby Hill scored with nine seconds left to give the Hendrix College women's lacrosse team a 17-16 victory over Southern Athletic Association foe Oglethorpe University at Warrior Field Saturday.
The Warriors (2-4, 1-2) led 10-4 at halftime and 16-10 with 10:24 to go. The Stormy Petrels (1-3, 0-3) scored six consecutive goals, including Xenia Perry's free-position shot which tied the game with 32 seconds remaining. After winning the draw control, Hill was fouled and scored on a free-position shot with nine seconds on the clock to give Hendrix their first SAA victory of the year.
Warrior sophomore keeper
Gabryele Pochron recorded 15 saves, breaking the old school record of 13 set last season.
Hendrix had the second most goals (17) and points (20) in program history.
Hendrix Notes- Sophomore midfielder
Raychl Reger was one off the school record for goals, scoring seven times with an assist. Reger also had a career-high seven draw controls and caused three turnovers.

Kaitlyn Smith had three goals, two assist and six draw controls.
- Hill finished with three goals, four ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers.

Reilly Frazier scored twice, the first goals of her career.

Caitlin Kriesel-Bigler was tied for the team lead with four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- Hendrix went 7-of-10 on free-position opportunities, their best output of the season.
- The Warriors dominated draw controls 22-13.
Oglethorpe Notes- The Stormy Petrels outshot the Warriors 42-31 overall and 31-26 on goal.
- Sydney Sparks led OU with six goals.
- Michelle Vasques had three goals, 11 ground balls, five draw controls and seven caused turnovers.
- Madison Coffey also scored three times.
- Chantel Jones recorded nine saves before leaving the game with an injury.
- Oglethorpe won the ground ball battle 39-20.
