CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College football team limited Lyon College to a school-record 235 yards of total offense en route to a 42-7 victory at Crafton-Faulkner Field at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium Saturday night.

The Warriors (1-1) racked up 341 yards on 70 plays for a 4.9 average, but limited the Scots (0-3) to just 3.3 yards per play.

A 72-yard return to the Lyon 11 on the opening kickoff by Warrior sophomore Ben Luedtke set the tone of the game early. Three plays later, junior running back Dayton Winn scampered in for a two-yard score to give Hendrix a 7-0 lead just 1:06 into the game. The Orange & Black extended the lead to 14-0 with 3:45 let in the first when junior quarterback Seth Peters hit junior Spencer Smith for a 39-yard score.

Peters targeted junior receivers Ethan Hoppe for a 26-yard TD and Taylor Tibbits for a six-yarder in the second to give Hendrix a 28-0 lead at halftime. Winn added another three-yard run in the third to go up 35-0.

Lyon got on the board with 14:09 left in the game on a seven-yard pass from Dwane Robinson to Tripp Reed. Warrior sophomore Mike Goodrich finished the scoring with a three-yard run with 1:14 left to play.

Hendrix Notes
- Hendrix is now 20-0-3 all-time against Lyon. This was the first meeting since 1950.
- Seven points was the fewest Hendrix has allowed since bringing back the program in 2013.
- The Warriors rushed for 161 yards on 45 carries with three touchdowns.
- Winn led the way with 82 yards and two scores on 14 carries. He also had 39-yard punt return.
- Sophomore Mason Millsap rushed 11 times for 65 yards.
- Peters finished the night 13-of-20 for 154 yards and three touchdowns.
- Nate Hodapp led the receivers with five catches for 43 yards. Seven different Warriors caught a pass on the night.
- Smith also punted four times for a 39.2 yard average, with three downed inside the 20-yard line.
- Kicker Steve Crenshaw was 6-for-6 on extra points.
- Hoppe blocked a Lyon field goal as time expired.
- Junior linebacker Ben Cunningham paced the Hendrix defense with 13 tackles, two for a loss of 14 yards, and a sack.
- Senior Caleb Shannon had 11 tackles and sophomore Kody Smith added seven from the safety position.
- Junior Tyler Clifton had seven tackles, one for a loss.
- Sophomore Jake Brantley recorded three tackles for a loss of 22 yards, two of which were sacks.
- Sophomore Anthony Tufu picked off pass for a three-yard return

Lyon Notes
- Running back Michael Bowles rushed 30 times for 143 yards.
- Robinson was 7-of-15 passing for 81 yards and touchdown.
- Nick Hinkley caught six passes for 82 yards.
- Stephen Benedik registered 11 tackles.
- Nick Bernier and Sage Wood each had a sack.
