DANVILLE, Ky. - The #19 Hendrix College volleyball team remained perfect in Southern Athletic Association competition with a 25-18, 25-19, 25-23 sweep at Centre College Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors (11-4) easily took the first two sets from the Colonels (6-9, 3-3). In the third set, Centre had a 23-20 lead, but Hendrix scored the next five points on a trio of kills from freshman
Lauren Dwyer and one from junior
Bradi Ryan.
The Warriors hit .244 for the match with 44 kills, three aces, 54 digs and four aces. The Colonels hit .094 with 28 kills, eight aces, 52 digs and two blocks.
Hendrix Notes
- Junior middle blocker
Sara Dyslin connected on a season-best 13 kills and was errorless for a .619 attack percentage. She also recorded six digs and three blocks.
- Dwyer hit a season-high .333 with 11 kils.
- Senior outside hitter
MC Rogers had nine kills and nine digs.
- Ryan finished with six kills and hit .500.
- Senior setter
Allison Gaia led Hendrix with 22 assists and 12 digs for her third double-double of the season.
- Senior libero
Leila Matsumoto recorded 11 digs.
Centre Notes
- Hailey Foote paced the Colonels with six kills, 12 digs and two blocks.
- Peyton Vacala had six kills, three aces and 10 digs.
- Katherine Hagan recorded 10 assists and seven digs.
- Morgan Babey also had 11 digs.
