CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College field hockey team lost a Southern Athletic Association game to Rhodes 6-2 at Warrior Field on Monday night.
The visiting Lynx (10-1, 4-0) scored 1:29 into the game. The Warriors (2-7, 1-3) answered in the eighth minute when freshman
Mary Ingabire knocked in a rebound off of a
Holly Heeb shot. Rhodes another goal in the 25th minute to make the game 2-1 at halftime.
Rhodes scored three goals in the first 18 minutes of the second half. Senior forward
Raychl Reger made the game 5-2 with a blast into the back of the cage in the 67th minute on a pass from freshman
Grace Shapiro. The Lynx added the final goal 24 seconds later.
Rhodes outshot Hendrix 44-7 overall and 23-5 on goal. The Lynx also led 14-4 in penalty corners.
Hendrix Notes
- Reger's goal was her team-leading seventh of the season and 27th of her career.
- Ingabire's goal was her third of the year.
- Shapiro recorded her second assist of the season.
