BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team lost 16-10 at Illinois Wesleyan University Sunday afternoon.
The host Titans (1-1) jumped out to a 4-0 lead and led 5-1 at the end of the first quarter. Freshman
Cole Cramer scored the Warriors' (1-4) goal in the opening period. Senior midfielder
Travis Rabun scored at the 5:52 mark of the second quarter on a pass from junior
Cody Eckes, but IWU tacked on two man-up goals to take a 7-2 lead at halftime.
The Titans outscored the Warriors 6-2 in the third quarter.
Alex Ortenstone scored and assisted
Zachary Baier's goal into the third. Hendrix outscored IWU 6-3 in the fourth for the final 16-10 score. Freshman
Joe Graves scored on a pass from Eckes. Ortenstone's goal was assisted by freshman
Jack Gorman. Gorman, Eckes and Cramer all scored in the fourth, as did Rabun, who found the net on an assist from freshman
Dominic Dachille in a man-down situation.
Hendrix outshot IWU 45-44, but the Titans had a 28-25 edge in shots on goal. IWU also won the ground ball battle 44-36. Both teams won 14 faceoffs. The Titans were 5-for-11 in extra-man attempts, while the Warriors went 2-for-7.
Hendrix Notes- Rabun's two goals gives him a team-leading 11 on the season.
- Eckes had a goal and two assists.
- Ortenstone finished with two goal and an assist as well.
- Cramer recorded his second multiple-goal game of the season.

Jason Blatt went 14-of-26 on faceoffs and picked up nine ground balls. He also caused a turnover.
- Senior defenseman
Kevin Estell caused a turnover as well.

Joe Takacs recorded six saves in 34 minutes in goal.
Dennis O'Hara also had six saves in 26 minutes.
Illinois Wesleyan Notes- Michael Julius led the Titans with four goals and four assists and had four ground balls.
- Tim Smith recorded three goals and an assist.
- Evan Mok-Lame also had three goals and five ground balls.
- Max Porter went 11-of-19 on faceoffs with 11 ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Steven Luduzinsky had 15 saves in goal.
Up NextHendrix will return home to face Piedmont College Wednesday night.
