Warriors Fall to Vikings on Senior Day

CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team lost a Southern Athletic Association game to Berry College 10-3 at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium Friday night.

Before the game the Warriors (5-7, 1-2) honored their seven seniors - Zachary Baier, Dennis O'Hara, Joe Takacs, Travis Rabun, Dan D'Ostuni, Kevin Estell and Will Ross.

The Vikings (5-6, 2-1) scored the only goal of the first quarter just 1:34 into the game. They added two more in the second to lead 3-0 at half. Berry scored three more in the third and the first goal of the fourth to take a 7-0 advantage.

Hendrix freshman Cole Cramer scored on an assist from Baier on a power play opportunity with 11:30 left in the game. Berry answered with another goal before Warrior midfielder Jason Blatt won the next faceoff and scored to make the game 8-2 at the 8:09 mark. The Vikings tacked on two more goals before Cramer scored the final goal of the game with 2:26 left.

The Warriors outshot the Vikings 36-29 overall and 17-16 on goal. Berry had a 30-24 lead in ground balls, but the Warriors won faceoffs 9-6.

- Cramer now has 13 goals on the season.
- Baier recorded his team-leading 12th assist of the year.
- Blatt went 9-of-15 on faceoffs and picked up six ground balls.
- Freshman Dominic Dachille had two caused turnovers and four ground balls.
- Sophomore Thomas Adamo tied his career-high with four ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers.
- D'Ostuni, Reed Mershon, Cody Eckes and Alex Ortenstone eache caused a turnover.

Berry Notes
- Keeper Nick Voso recorded 14 saves and had seven ground balls and a caused turnover.
- Bailey Martin led the Vikings with three goals and an assist.
- Stephen Galloway scored twice and Paolo Falzi had a goal and two assists.
- Jacob Kagan caused two turnovers and picked up two ground balls.

Up Next
Hendrix will host another conference foe in Oglethorpe University at noon Sunday.
