CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team defeated Oglethorpe University 16-3 at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Warriors (6-7, 2-2) and Stormy Petrels (0-12, 0-4) were tied after the first five minutes, before Hendrix scored three goals in a 41-second span to take a 4-1 lead at the end of the first quarter. the Orange & Black added seven more goals in the second for a 11-1 halftime advantage. The Warriors tacked on three more in the third and both teams had two goals in the fourth.
Hendrix outshot the OU 69-16 overall and 53-10 on goal. The Warriors had a 65-36 lead in ground balls and won faceoffs 20-2. Hendrix went 16-of-18 on clear attempts while Oglethorpe was 19-of-35. Hendrix also caused 23 Petrel turnovers.
Hendrix Notes - The Warriors' 65 ground balls were the fourth most in school history.

Travis Rabun recorded two goals and an assist. His assist tied Cameron Millstone's school record of 59 in a career.

Jason Blatt recorded two goals and two assists with six ground balls and two caused turnovers. He also went 11-of-13 on faceoffs.

Dominic Dachille scored a goal and recorded three goals. He also caused four turnovers and grabbed 12 ground balls, tying his season best.

Kevin Estell scored a goal and senior
Zachary Baier had an assist and a caused turnover.
- Sophomore defenseman
Reed Mershon recorded a season-best five ground balls and caused three turnovers.
- Three freshmen scored their first career goals.
Drew Scanlan had three goals,
Andrew Davidson recorded two and
Sean Lazinger had one.

Owen Morse picked up a season-high five ground balls.

Jack Gorman recorded a goal and two assists.

Graham Marcus caused a pair of turnovers and
Alex Ortenstone scored a goal.

Patrick Munn had a goal, three ground balls and was 4-of-4 on faceoffs.
- Michael Riely had four groudn balls and caused three turnovers.

Thomas Adamo tied his career high with five ground balls and caused two turnovers.
