MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Hendrix College softball team lost both games of a Southern Athletic Association double-header at #12 Berry College Saturday. The Vikings (12-1, 4-0) won the first game 3-0, then defeated the Warriors (4-9, 1-4) 8-0 in five innings.
Kassie Howard (7-0) threw a no-hitter with a school-record 14 strikeouts and six walks allowed in opener. Hendrix freshman
Emily Stockalper (4-4) allowed just six hits, three runs, a walk and struck out four in the losing effort.
Berry scored two runs in the first and Marie Collop led off the fourth with a solo homer.
In game two, the Vikings outhit the Warriors 8-2 and took advantage of five walks. They had two runs in the first and tacked on five more in the fourth. Maggie Piety drove in the final run of the game in the fifth inning with a base hit.
Allie Coronado (4-1) allowed two hits and a walk while striking out five. Sophomore
Morgan Maida (0-1) took the loss for Hendrix.

Bryanna Carlisle drew three walks in game one, tied for the second-most in school history. She also had a hit in game two.
