MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Hendrix College softball team wrapped up their Southern Athletic Association series at #12 Berry College with a 5-2 loss Sunday.
The Vikings (13-1, 6-0) scored two runs in the first, then added three more in the sixth. Marie Collop hit a solo home run to lead off the inning and Lauren Evans had a RBI triple.
The Warriors' (4-10, 1-5) runs came in the top of the seventh. With two outs, sophomore center fielder
Bryanna Carlisle drew a walk and moved to second on a wild pitch.
Dasha Donahoe drew a pinch hit walk, followed by another walk issued to freshman shortstop
Skye Miller. Freshman catcher
Karli Sewell drove in Carlisle and Donahoe with a single to right field.
Berry pitcher Kassie Howard, who threw a no-hitter Saturday, carried another no-hitter into the seventh inning until Sewell broke it up. Howard moved to 8-0 on the season with seven strikeouts, six walks and two runs allowed. Freshman
Emily Stockalper (4-5) struck out four and gave up eight hits, four earned runs and walk in the losing effort for Hendrix.
Hendrix Notes- Carlisle walked twice, giving her five walks in the three-game series and a .750 on-base percentage on hte weekend.
- Sewell recorded her fourth multiple-RBI game of the year. She also threw out a runner trying to steal.

Berry Notes- Shortstop Sarah Moore had two hits for the Vikings.
