CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College softball team completed the three-game sweep of Rhodes College with a 2-0 win at Warrior Field on Sunday.
?With the win, the Warriors improve to 19-13 overall and 8-7 in Southern Athletic Association play. They sit in fourth place with three games remaining. The Lynx fall to 20-16 overall and 4-14 in conference.
?After the game, Hendrix honored their three seniors -
Shelby Anderson,
Ariel McDonald and
Kayla Patton.
?Three pitchers combined for the shutout. McDonald started the game and allowed just two hits and two walks over two frames. Freshman
Savannah Draud (2-1) picked up the win with three innings, only giving up a hit and a walk. Freshman
Emily Stockalper closed it out to earn her second save, only allowing a run over the final two innings.
?Bri Maniscalco (9-8) took the lost for the Lynx, giving up five hits, one earned run, two walks and four strikeouts over six innings.
?Junior first baseman Syndey Ozersky walked to lead off the second, then stole second. After two outs, freshman
Jamie Johnson hit a single into right field, but was misplayed, allowing Ozersky to score the first run of the game.
The Warriors' other run came in the fifth when Stockalper hit a double to left field then scored on a hit ripped down the right field line by sophomore right fielder
Bryanna Carlisle.
Hendrix Notes?- Anderson hit the 46th double of her career, adding to her school record. She also tied the single-season mark with 79 total bases this year. Anderson is tied with Elizabeth Vaughan (2009) and Jaclyn Herrera (2010).

Victoria Hughes also recorded a hit.

Rhodes Notes- Erin Parker, Aubrey Blackstock, Katelynn Bresler and Haley Rath each recorded a hit for the Lynx.
