CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College baseball team defeated Millsaps College 7-4 at Warrior Field Sunday to secure second place in the Southern Athletic Association and the right host one of the tournament pods next weekend.
The Warriors (19-19) finishes the SAA schedule with a 13-8 and record will start the SAA Tournament on Friday against the seventh-seed Centre at Warrior Field. Rhodes and Oglethorpe will also be coming to Conway for the tournament.
The Majors (21-17, 13-8) scored the first run of the game in the top of the first. Hendrix took the lead in the second when sophomore catcher
Justin Robison singled and junior third baseman
Spencer Summers was hit by a pitch. Junior
Drew Judson followed with a base hit that dropped in fair territory on the right field line, plating Robison and Summers.
Millsaps gained a 3-2 lead iin the third after two hits and two errors. With two outs in the fourth, Summers was hit again and freshman
Jorge Leon walked. Judson singled in Summers to tie the game. Junior left fielder
Wyatt Hogan then rocketed a two-run double to left field to put Hendrix up 5-3.
Summers led the bottom of the sixth off with walk and Leon followed with a triple to make the game 6-3. Center fielder Isaac Glenn hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Logan Patterson in the top of the seventh to make the game 6-4.
The Warriors tacked on one more in the eighth. Leon singled to right and scored on a Judson triple.
Senior
Daniel Imbro (6-4) threw a 137-pitch complete game. He allowed 12 hits, two earned runs four walks and six strikeouts. Starter Kenny Wright (4-1) lasted just 3.2 innings in the losing effort.

Hendrix Notes- Imbro tied the school single-season complete games. His fifth complete game tied Wes Holland who set the record in 1998.
- Judson led the offense by going 4-for-5 with a career-high four RBI, a triple and a run scored.
- Leon went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a triple and a RBI.
- Hogan extended his hitting streak to 15 games, tied for the ninth longest in school history.
- Robison finished with a pair of hits.
- Summers went 0-for-1, but was hit twice, drew a walk and scored three times
Millsaps Notes- Glenn went 3-for-4 with a sac fly and two runs scored.
- Catcher Joseph Stearns was 2-for-4 as was Patterson.
- Lee Ogletree recorded a double.
