MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Hendrix College men's soccer team opened the Greg Volgas Memorial Tournament hosted by Rhodes College with a 4-1 loss to Westminster College Saturday.
The Blue Jays (2-1) outshot the Warriors (0-3) 20-8 overall and 10-3 on goal.
Westminster scored in the 21st and 36th minutes to lead 2-0 at half. Dustin Selbolt added another goal 22 seconds in the second half. Kyle Collins scored another goal for the Blue Jays in the 57th minute.
Hendrix' scored in the 68th minute when sophomore midfielder
Mohammad Ali netted the first goal of his career.
Westminster led Hendrix in corner kicks 5-3.
