BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Hendrix College men's soccer team lost 3-0 to Birmingham-Southern College in their Southern Athletic Association opener Saturday.

The host Panthers (6-1, 1-0) scored 9:44 into the game on a header from Tylan Jones. They added another goal in the 33rd minute and one in the 87th.

BSC outshot Hendrix (2-6, 0-1) 28-10 overall and 11-3 on goal. The Panthers led in corner kicks 7-5.

Hendrix Notes
- Jacob Warren, Ryan Mason and Sebastian Paredes each took a shot on goal.
- Mason, a senior midfielder, had a career-high three shots.
- Junior keeper Nathan Myers recorded eight saves and became the sixth Warrior in program history to reach 150 saves for his career with a total of 154.

Birmingham-Southern Notes
- Brother Swagler and Spencer Nichols also had goals.
- Dylan Rose and Jackson Lynn recorded assists.
- Galen Curry had three saves in goal.
