MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Hendrix College field hockey team opened the 2016 season with a 10-1 loss to DePauw University at the St. Jude Classic hosted by Rhodes College on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers outshot the Warriors 42-2 overall and 34-2 on goal. DePauw took 16 penalty corners, while Hendrix had three chances.
The Warriors' goal came in the 67th minute from senior forward
Raychl Reger.
Hendrix Notes
- Both of the Warriors' shots on goal came from Reger. She moves into a tie for second in school history with 21 career goals, trailing the overall record by one.
- Senior keeper
Gabryele Pochron recorded 21 saves. She now has 802 for her career and moved into 16th on the NCAA Division III all-time saves list.
