Conway, AR - The Hendrix College Volleyball team wrapped up their 2017 home schedule Saturday afternoon with a win on a very special senior day against Oglethorpe University. The afternoon saw the Warriors honor the careers and contributions of their four seniors; Sara Dyslin, Lauren Petrisin, Bradi Ryan, and Hannah Tackett. Following the ceremony the seniors and their teammates defeated Oglethorpe in four sets (3-1; 25-21, 25-16, 16-25, 25-14).

Set one saw HC start to get hot offensively as they hit .289 in the first set en route to a 25-21 victory.

The Warriors hit even better in set number two, riding their momentum from the first set to take a 2-0 lead with a 25-16 win.

Unfortunately, Hendrix would drop set three before coming back and taking set four 25-14 and ultimately winning the match 3-1.

Bradi Ryan once again had a strong offensive performance individually, leading the team with 16 kills and a hitting percentage of .342. Brianna Kelly and Lauren Petrisin added ten and eight kills respectively, while Sesalie Satterwhite paced Hendrix with 23 assists and Amber Melcher had a team high 17 digs. Hendrix moves to 8-11 overall and 5-5 in SAA play after the win.

HC will be back in action on Friday, October 13, when they travel to take on the Pioneers of Transylvania. The match is scheduled for an 8:00pm start.
