Warriors Fall to Vikings

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Hendrix College women's lacrosse team lost 17-5 at Berry College in Southern Athletic Association action Saturday afternoon.

The Vikings (2-3, 1-1) scored the first two goals of the game before sophomore attacker Morgan Dasch scored for the Warriors (1-1, 1-1) just over five minutes into the game. Berry then scored the next eight goals. Junior attacker Bridget Umble found the net on a pass from junior midfielder Reilly Frazier with 3:42 left in the half for Hendrix. Berry led 10-2 at halftime.

The Vikings outcored the Warriors 7-3 in the second half.

Hendrix recorded five goals, two assists, 11 shots, nine on goal, 10 ground balls, five draw controls, 21 turnovers and eight caused turnovers. Berry had 17 goals, nine assists, 45 shots, 32 on goal, 34 ground balls, 18 draws, 16 turnvoers and 13 caused turnovers.

Hendrix Notes
- Sophomore keeper Alexis Truitt had 15 saves, tied for the third most in school history.
- Umble scored twice.
- Frazier had a goal and an assist.
- Dasch had a goal and freshman Hannah Burroughs recorded an assist.
- Junior midfielder Shelby Hill had a goal, two ground balls, two draw controls and a caused turnover.
- Senior defender Gabryele Pochron recorded four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
