Warriors Drop Game to Bulldogs

CONWAY, Ark. - The Hendrix College women's lacrosse team lost to the University of Redlands 13-4 Monday night at Warrior Field.

The Warriors (1-2) jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the first 7:27 of the game. Junior midfielder Shelby Hill scored four minutes in on a free position shot. Sophomore attacker Morgan Dasch scored on man-up goal, then assisted junior Bridget Umble's goal.

The Bulldogs (2-2) answered with three consecutive goals to tie it up. Dasch put Hendrix ahead with a score at 10:02 in the half. Dulce Moll of UR evened the game to make the game 4-4 at halftime.

Redlands dominated the second half, outshooting Hendrix 21-6 and scoring nine goals.

For the game, the Warriors recorded four goals, one assist, 12 shots, 10 on goal, 21 ground balls, six draw controls, 25 turnovers and eight caused turnovers. They were also 9-of-16 on clear attempts. The Bulldogs had 13 goals, three assists, 36 shots, 28 on goal, 24 ground balls, 13 draws, 16 turnovers and 14 caused turnovers while going 13-of-21 on clears.

- Dasch led the Warrior offense with two goals and an assist to go with two draws, two ground balls and a caused turnover.
- Umble scored nad picked up a pair of ground balls.
- Hill scored on a free position shot.
- Senior defender Gabryele Pochron picked up four ground balls and caused a turnover.
- Sophomore midfielder Holly Heeb won three draw controls and caused a turnover.
- Sophomore keeper Aleix Truitt became the Warriors' career saves leader with her 15-save performance. She now has 134 for her career.

Redlands Notes
- Moll led the Bulldogs with five goals, three of which came on free position shots.
- Hanna Morford recorded four goals, an assist and caused two turnovers.
- Lacey Bjrondal had two goals and five draws.
- Sadie Pickering recorded a goal, five ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- Quinn Egan saved five shots on 53 minutes. Lindsay Hope had one save in seven minutes.
