BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team lost to Illinois Wesleyan 26-11 on the road Sunday afternoon.
The host Titans (1-1) jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the first quarter and led 13-3 at halftime. The Warriors (3-3) were even with IWU 4-4 with four goals each in the third quarter. The Titans outscored the Orange & Black 9-4 in the fourth quarter.
For the game, the Warriors recorded 11 points, five assists, 46 shots, 22 on goal, 30 ground balls, won 12 faceoffs, 19 turnovers and two caused turnovers while going 17-of-21 on clears.
The Titans had 26 goals, 14 assists, 60 shots, 39 on goal, 52 ground balls, 29 faceoffs, 24 turnovers, two caused turnovers and went 16-of-17 on clears.
