CLERMONT, Fla. - The Hendrix College softball team lost to the University of St. Thomas 4-0 as part of The Spring Games on Wednesday afternoon.
The Toms (9-3) scored a run in the top of the fifth when center fielder Megan Bush doubled and scored on an error. They added three more in the sixth on two hits, a hit batter and an error. Designated player Brenna Walek hit a two-run double in the inning.
The Warriors (10-11) loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh with two outs. Freshman
Hannah Billings had a pinch hit single, then junior second baseman
Deva Bharne walked. Sophomore catcher
Karli Sewell singled to put three runners on. St. Thomas pitcher Sammy Hogan induced a ground out for third out and earn the save.
Hogan started, but earned the save, allowing three hits and three walks with a strikeout over 3.1 innings. Jessica Eppenberger (4-1) allowed three hits, two walks and two strikeouts over 3.2 innings to get the win. Sophomore
Emily Stockalper (7-5) took the loss, giving up five hits, two earned runs and one strikeout.

- Sewell was 2-for-4 with a double and caught a runner trying to steal.

- Walek went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a double.
