Hendrix Dominates Millsaps 20-3

JACKSON, Miss. - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team rolled to a 20-3 Southern Athletic Association victory at Millsaps College Friday night.

The Warriors (6-4, 1-1) jumped out to a 13-0 lead halfway through the second quarter and led 16-1 at halftime. The Majors (3-8, 0-2) scored the first two goals of the second half, but Hendrix scored the final four goals of the game.

The Orange & Black recorded 20 goals, nine assists, 54 shots, 34 on goal, 44 ground balls, won 20 faceoffs, 15 turnovers and nine caused turnovers while going 18-of-19 on clears.

The Majors had three goals, 16 shots, nine on goal, 22 ground balls, seven faceoffs, 24 turnovers and two caused turnovers while going 16-for-22 on clears.

Hendrix Notes
- Senior Alex Ortenstone tied his career high with four goals and assisted one.
- Senior midfielder Jason Blatt also scored a career-high four goals.
- Sophomore defenseman Dominic Dachille had a career-best three goals with an assist, four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Freshman attacker T. Michael Thomas recorded two goals and three assists.
- Sophomore midfielder Matt Latham had two goals, two assists, three ground balls and a caused turnover.
- Freshman midfielder Elias Ramos posted a goal, an assist, five ground balls and went 13-of-17 on faceoffs.
- Sophomore Cullen Robinette also had a goal and an assist.
- Freshman Allen Weber recorded a goal, as did sophomore Drew Scanlan and junior Thomas Adamo.
- Junior Tucker Holihan went 7-of-10 on faceoffs with a career-high five ground balls.
- Goalkeepers Christian Wheeler, Russell Riley and Taylor Noack each recorded two saves.

Millsaps Notes
- Garrett Perez scored all three goals and had four ground balls and three faceoffs won.
- Dante Bertucci-Ness recorded six saves and six ground balls.
- Andrew Hollenshed picked up three ground balls and caused two caused turnovers.
