CONWAY, Ark. - After splitting on Saturday, the Hendrix College softball team won the final game of the series 7-1 against Centre College at Warrior Field Sunday in Southern Athletic Association competition.

The Colonels (3-7, 1-5) scored in the top of the first when right field fielder RileyAnne Sharpe led off with a single and later scored on a sacrifice lfy by first baseman Jessika Young.

The Warriors (7-5, 2-4) answered with two runs in the bottom of the first. Senior shortstop Victoria Hughes led off with a walk and was bunted over by junior right fielder Bryanna Carlisle. Sophomore catcher Karli Sewell singled, moving Hughes to third, then stole second. Senior third baseman Sydney Ozersky hit an infield single, allowing Hughes to score. Junior Morgan Maida followed with a double in the right field corner, plating Sewell.

Hendrix tacked on three more runs on five hits in the second. Sewell hit a two-run single and Ozersky had a RBI-base hit in the inning. Ozersky came up with a two-run base hit in the bottom of the fourth to make the game 7-1.

Sophomore Emily Stockalper (5-2) allowed nine hits and a run with no walks and two strikeouts to earn the win. Centre's Erika Brewer (1-5) took the loss, allowing eight hits, five runs, a walk and striking out one.

Hendrix Notes
- Ozersky went 3-for-4 with four RBI.
- Hughes had a hit, a walk and scored three times.
- Carlisle was 2-for-2 with a run and two sac bunts.
- Sewell knocked in two runs with two hits and stole a base.
- Freshman left fielder Miranda Cutchall had a hit, two runs scored and drew a pair of walks.

Centre Notes
- Sharpe went 3-for-4 at the plate.
- Six other Colonels had a hit a piece.
