Warriors Topped By Lynx on the Road

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Hendrix College women's lacrosse team lost to Southern Athletic Association leader Rhodes College 25-4 Saturday afternoon.

The Lynx (14-0, 5-0) built a 17-0 lead before the Warriors (4-7, 1-4) scored a man-up goal from senior Meghan Ayers with 5:02 left in the first half. Rhodes led 19-1 at halftime. Hendrix scored three times in the second half, while Rhodes had six goals.

For the game, the Warriors recorded four goals, two assists, 16 shots, 14 on goal, 17 ground balls, seven draw controls, 21 turnovers, five caused turnovers and were 6-of-18 on clear attempts.

The Lynx had 25 goals, 13 assists, 43 shots, 37 on goal, 26 ground balls, 23 draws, 12 turnovers, 12 caused turnovers and were 7-of-9 on clears.

- Ayers scored a career-high two goals.
- Sophomore attacker Morgan Dasch had a goal, an assist and three ground balls. Her assist broke the school single-season record with 30.
- Junior midfielder Kaitlyn Smith scored a goal, caused a turnover and won two draws.
- Junior attacker Bridget Umble recorded an assist.
- Senior midfielder Raychl Reger picked up three ground balls.
- Freshman Hannah Burroughs caused two turnovers.
- Sophomore keeper Alexis Truitt posted 12 saves, four ground balls and caused a turnover.

- Maggie Rippeto had three goals and five assists with three ground balls.
- Kendall Cunningham scored six times with an an assist.
- Olivia Holmes had three goals and an assist.
- Lindsay Gess and Taylor Ansel both scored twice.
