MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Hendrix College women's lacrosse team lost to Southern Athletic Association leader Rhodes College 25-4 Saturday afternoon.
The Lynx (14-0, 5-0) built a 17-0 lead before the Warriors (4-7, 1-4) scored a man-up goal from senior
Meghan Ayers with 5:02 left in the first half. Rhodes led 19-1 at halftime. Hendrix scored three times in the second half, while Rhodes had six goals.
For the game, the Warriors recorded four goals, two assists, 16 shots, 14 on goal, 17 ground balls, seven draw controls, 21 turnovers, five caused turnovers and were 6-of-18 on clear attempts.
The Lynx had 25 goals, 13 assists, 43 shots, 37 on goal, 26 ground balls, 23 draws, 12 turnovers, 12 caused turnovers and were 7-of-9 on clears.
