CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Hendrix College softball team ended their season with a third place finish in the Southern Athletic Association Tournament on Saturday. The Warriors (17-20) eliminated Centre College (24-19) 8-4, before being ousted by Millsaps College (26-14) 7-0 with a trip to the finals on the line.

Nikki Sanders followed with a three-run home run and junior designated player had a RBI-single in the inning.
Centre catcher Cassidy Cook singled in center fielder Abigail Harper in the sixth to make the game 6-4. Hendrix added a two-run double from Ozersky in the seventh to make the final tally 8-4.
Sophomore pitcher
Emily Stockalper (11-10) earned the win, giving up eight hits, four runs and two walks with a pair of strikeouts over six innings. Sophomore
Savannah Draud threw a scoreless seventh. Erika Brewer (7-10) took the loss by allowing 12 hits, eight runs and a walk with two Ks.
Hendrix vs. Centre Notes
- Sanders went 3-for-4 with the three-run homer, her fourth blast of the year.

Deva Bharne was 2-for-4 with two runs and a double.
- Sewell was 2-for-3 with two runs, a home run and a double.
- Stockalper also doubled and scored.

Rebecca Maeder picked up a hit and scored.

- Cook had two hits with a double, a RBI and a run scored.
- First baseman Jessika Young had a double and scored.
- Right fielder Brittany Sears was 2-for-3 with a RBI.
- Second baseman Ellen Stephens also came up with a pair of hits.

The Majors outhit the Warriors 10-4 and were helped by a two-run homer from first baseman Rayne Gravat in the first and another two-run shot by second baseman Megan Murray in the fifth.
Pitcher Kayla Davidson (16-5) struck out four in the four-hit shutout. Draud (2-6) took the loss, allowing seven hits and five runs with three strikeouts over 4.1 innings.

- Sanders extended her hitting streak to 10 games with a base hit.
- Stockalper and Sewell each had a hit.
