JACKSON, Miss. - The Hendrix College softball team split a Southern Athletic Association double-header at Millsaps College Saturday afternoon. The host majors (22-10, 10-4) took game one 2-1, then the Warriors (13-17, 5-8) rebounded to take the nightcap 4-1.
Millsaps scored in the bottom of the first of game one when right fielder Kat Romero led off with a base hit and crossed the plate from second on a single from Hannah Doggett. Hendrix tied it in the second on a solo home run by junior first baseman
Nikki Sanders.
The Majors took the lead in the fifth when center fielder MK Bozeman led off with a single, was bunted over was driven by first baseman Rayne Gravat.
Kayla Davidson (13-3) earned the win for Millsaps, striking out seven and allowing four hits, one run and a walk. Sophomore
Savannah Draud (2-5) allowed just five hits, two runs, three walks and struck out three in the loss.

- Sanders hit her second home run of the season and stole a base.

Karli Sewell doubled and recorded a sacrifice bunt.

- Doggett and Gravat each drove in runs.
- Romero and catcher Rayner LeBlanc both had hits.

In game two, Warrior sophomore pitcher
Emily Stockalper (9-8) earned the win, allowing 12 hits, a run, a walk and two strikeouts. Cassidy DeNoon (4-5) gave up six hits, two earned runs, two walks and a strikeout over 2.2 innings in the loss.
Hendrix scored in the first when Bharne scored on a Sewell double to right center. They went up 2-0 in the second after freshman center fielder
Aubrey Brink walked with two outs and scored on a single to right field by senior shortstop
Victoria Hughes.
Millsaps scored a run in the bottom of the second when third baseman Kaitlyn Casias doubled, stole third and was knocked in by left fielder Hannah Dee Smith.
The Warriors took a 3-1 lead in the third. Ozersky singled and reached third on an error. She scored on an infield single by freshman
Jordan Mallard. Ozersky singled in the seventh and scored on a double by Stockalper for the 4-1 victory.

- Hughes recorded two hits and a RBI.
- Ozersky went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
- Stockalper also picked up a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in a run.

- Second baseman Megan Murray went 3-for-4 with a stolen base.
- Smith, Romero and Bozeman each had two hits.
- Gravat, Casias and Smith all recorded a double.
